We often talk about feminism and lot of aspects related to feminism, when we give it a closer look, we get to see that financial independence plays a major role in a woman’s life upholding feminism.
Women taking about feminism and desiring for a partner with lot wealth and pressuring a man to be in a successful position and considering marriage as institution to get into when a woman is not able to pursue what she wants and to take advantage of her partner or a man in her life is actually not a sign of equality. We often hear a girl telling, “I need a guy who has a bungalow, car, well settled”, but why don’t allow a boy to tell the same when he wants marry. Girl can earn and have bungalow, car and well settled lifestyle for herself and that defines feminism appropriately. “It is OK if nothing happens, you can get married” should not be line in future when we actually talk about feminism.
Financial Independence can make woman self-confident, she can follow her dreams without any hitch or can get away from constant need for the permission from her partner or parents or anyone for that matter. And mainly she can be away from the financial abuse. It may be nice to wear interesting eyeliner and have nice clothes, but it’s less fun if you have to ask a man or your parents for the money, thus giving them the financial power over your look, your life and your decisions.
In general when a girl depends on someone financially, what happens if the person leaves her or worst case if the person dies, what is the future of the girl and how can she survive?
Here comes the another reason why she should be an independent person where at least she can survive on her own.
