Sex Workers: Sex Work is Just Like all other Professions

Sex workers are women, men and transgender people who receive money or goods in exchange for sexual services. There are different types of services offered by sex workers but what is common between all those is the way people see a sex worker as if it is not a profession but a crime.

Parents or anyone close give you a look when you say that you want to be a sex worker when you grow up, it is considered as profession which is not to be chosen. This profession is often used as slut shaming words which is really offensive and extremely wrong.

All professionals are respected and given the opportunity to be proud and considered as hard working and ethical workers. But if it is sex work, why all the respect, credits are snatched away? Because we are grown up listening that sex work is not a choice that anyone can make.

Other than these judgements, women in sex work also face complications related to health, protection, mental trauma, financial instabilities etc. Maybe not everyone is bold enough to pursue sex work as profession but the least you can do is to accept the fact that sex work is like any other profession and is a choice a person can make and not think as it is shady.

Sex workers provide service like companionship, various physical experiences which one is need of, intimacy etc. People who seek such services can get it and nothing is wrong or shameful about it.
